Our Commitment

tra8me is committed to ensuring digital accessibility for all users, including those with disabilities. We are continually improving the user experience for everyone and applying the relevant accessibility standards to guarantee we provide equal access.

tra8me acknowledges its obligations under the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and other applicable accessibility laws to ensure digital properties are accessible to individuals with disabilities.

Standards We Follow

We use the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 level AA as our guiding metric. These guidelines explain how to make web content more accessible for people with disabilities, more compatible with assistive technology, and more user-friendly for everyone.

Our engineering standards require compliance with WCAG 2.1 AA success criteria, including keyboard accessibility, screen reader compatibility, and sufficient color contrast ratios.

Built-In Accommodations

We've built accessibility directly into the core experience of tra8me. Through our "Vibe" menu, users can toggle specific typographic accommodations:

Accessible Font: Uses Atkinson Hyperlegible, developed with the Braille Institute, to exaggerate letterforms for users with low vision or macular degeneration.
Dyslexic Font: Uses Lexend to reduce visual crowding and increase reading fluency for those with dyslexia.

These typographic options are persistent across sessions and designed to surpass standard WCAG typographic requirements by actively addressing specific cognitive reading barriers.

Ongoing Efforts

Accessibility is not a one-time project; it's a continuous commitment. We routinely test tra8me using automated accessibility auditing tools and manual keyboard-only navigation tests. As we add new features, we ensure they meet our accessibility criteria before they are launched to the public.

Automated accessibility tests (such as Lighthouse and axe-core) are integrated into our deployment and review processes to prevent accessibility regressions.

Test Results & Compliance Proof

We regularly run automated accessibility audits using Google Lighthouse to ensure we maintain our 100/100 accessibility score. You can download our latest raw accessibility report below.

Automated testing cannot catch 100% of accessibility issues, but it provides a verified baseline that core structural and interactive components meet WCAG success criteria.
